Every once in a while I come across a blog/site that, in every post, inspires me, challenges me, engages me. S&W’s Pulse Laser, found on links from Kottke, is my source today — and about 5 posts in, the best combination of 5 posts, topics, concepts, themes yet. How can I work with these guys?

A Little Neat Moment
President Obama goes to shake hand of military officer, officer salutes, President returns it then shakes hand.
Minutes later in the limo as they drive off camera catches him practicing a salute. Reminds me of the days I learned to properly salute. Think of how much on the job training he has in front of him…

Life is but a dream…
Following the logic flows — I wonder if the “now” of this simulation we exist in is in our future or past. Does that make sense? If I were running a simulation of the world I’d have the rate quite a bit higher than time elapsing in my own world.
Further, if there is high probability we live in a simulation, doesn’t that same probability apply to our simulator’s world? A nested doll of simulated simulations.
